The first evening of SONICBernheim 2016, a site-specific lecture and performance series exploring the relationships between sound, music, and nature.

Lecture:
Dr. Denise Von Glahn
Curtis Mayes Orpheus Professor of Musicology

“Listening Beyond the Acoustic Horizon”

The event will take place at and around the Big Prairie at Bernheim Arboretum and Research Forest on the longest day of the year, in daylight and darkness, rain or shine.

Attendees will travel on foot from performance to performance. Chairs, blankets, flashlights, and picnics are welcome, but no alcohol will be permitted. Every effort will be made to accommodate attendees with mobility restrictions.

$5 for Bernheim Arboretum members/$10 for non-members.
